Dr. Lantz has many years of experience evaluating and treating patients with a wide variety of psychological and cognitive disorders. She completed her graduate education as a licensed clinical psychologist at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology where she did extensive training in different therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, and family systems therapy. She then received advanced training as a neuropsychologist at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and she subsequently completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in neuropsychology.
Unlike many other clinical psychologists, Dr. Lantz has the expertise in understanding the way the brain functions and how these functions impact behavior. In addition, she can provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment which allows her to work with the “whole patient.” Dr. Lantz welcomes referrals from neurologists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, internists, other psychologists, social workers and directly from parents and patients for neuropsychological evaluations.
In addition to her private practice and clinical experience, Dr. Lantz is the author of numerous professional articles published in journals and books. She was also an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and she has lectured and taught graduate students on a variety of neuropsychological topics. She is a member of many professional organizations and attends conferences and meetings to communicate with other neuropsychologists regarding changing polices and state of the art research. She is also a member of several list-serves where she gains valuable clinical insights from her colleagues.
